Does the Birth Center Accept Medicaid?
Having a baby is an exciting journey, but we understand that expenses can quickly add up—from setting up a nursery to purchasing essentials. Adding the cost of birth and delivery can feel overwhelming.
We believe the cost shouldn’t be a barrier to quality healthcare and that every mother deserves the birth experience they want. That is why we accept Medicaid and provide affordable payment plans to support our clients.
Does the Birth Center Accept Medicaid?
Yes, we accept Medicaid from Wellpoint. With Wellpoint, you’re covered 100% for birth center birth with no out-of-pocket costs. With any Medicaid plan, you shouldn’t pay anything for covered services.
You can change your healthcare provider until the mid-second trimester. Once you’re in your third trimester, you’re locked in with your current provider.

What if I don’t have insurance?
We understand that not everyone has insurance. This is why we offer payment plans for clients without insurance or international clients.
To understand the costs, please call The Birth Center of New Jersey to find out the facility fee. This fee does not cover prenatal care, lab analysis for the mother or baby, diagnostic testing, and certain medications.
A payment plan is also available that must be paid in full by the 36th week of pregnancy. Contact us for details regarding the plan.
The Birth Center of New Jersey is not responsible for any hospital or ambulance charges in the event of a transfer of care to the hospital before, during, or after labor. Fees to specialists are the responsibility of the client and not The Birth Center of New Jersey.
